Joy. It’s a quality and principle I have realized I need more of. And so I’ve opted for leaning into the precepts that help me live into joy and happiness. Being present in and appreciating life in the moment is one way to experience joy. How do we wake up to living in and appreciating the moment? There are other ways, but one that people say has most woken them up to living in the moment is international travel—being in a new culture reminds us of the world’s incredible richness. Remember travel? I barely do but I am ready to be reminded!

This October, I’m adventuring to Amorgos Island in Greece to lead a wellness retreat. I’ll offer yoga and meditation beside the Aegean Sea, in a space where delicious, fresh food, drink, spa treatments, dancing, swimming, boating and kindness abound. We can choose to do it all or do nothing and simply breathe in the sea and sun. Either way, there will be present moment, life appreciating joy abounding.

The pictures truly don’t do this space and its people justice but I’ll share a few with you.
